Zilan Hasret Yildiz & Daniel Denis
Zilan’s first connection to music was through her Dengbêj (singing storyteller) father. Her family comes from Erzurum but she was born and raised in Istanbul, where she lived until 2014. She moved to Izmir to study Mathematics at Dokuz Eylul University. In Izmir she began taking daf (frame drum) lessons from Sami Hosseini. She started her music studies in 2014 and joined the Ahura Rhythm Ensemble in 2015. Since 2016, Zilan has been giving daf and percussion lessons. Since 2019, she has been giving rhythm workshops. She also started other music projects, and in 2020 she was accepted by Ege University State Conservatory where she graduated in 2024. She currently lives in the Netherlands where she continues her active music career. She is a master’s student at Codarts.
Daniel discovered his passion for music in his hometown of Madrid. He fell in love with the electric guitar and bass. His initial inspirations came from bands like King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, and artists like Frank Zappa. His love for jazz and world music growing, he eventually left Spain to study jazz in the Netherlands, studying with Reinier Baas, Ronald Schmitz, and Ed Verhoef. During his studies, he developed a passion for composing that led him on an ongoing journey through new sounds, structures, and techniques. He is an active member of multiple bands and also occasionally works as a session musician. In 2019, Daniel was awarded the prestigious Erasmus Jazz Prize for Best Soloist with his project AMAGUK.
Superinca & the Galactic Green
Superinca & The Galactic Green provides magic with super energetic cumbia punk rock. By playing for hours at a time, they developed their trance-inducing sound with howling keyboards, perfectly coordinated guitar harmonies and endless swing of bass and drums.
Superinca is: Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti (vocals), Oscar Jan Hoogland (synth), Frank Rosaly and Marcos Baggiani (drums / percussion), Vicente Pino and Thijs Elzinga (guitar), Joep Bollinger (bass).
